After 17 years in the industry, I've been heavily involved in every aspect of making a video game. I started out as a designer, but since then I have written a lot of shipping code, produced projects at all levels, was game director on multiple projects, a CTO of an indie publisher, helped define marketing direction, active with community management, and more.
I am someone who knows how to take a game from "Hey! I have an idea" all the way through to "Look! It's on PC, Xbox, Switch, PS4, iOS, and Android!"
I believe that games can be transformative for society. They bring people together, ignite competition, teach without pandering, and spur creative thinking.
