Note: My first VR game. As game director, I learned a lot about how to make a VR game work. We also took this game from a paper pitch to full shipped game, on time, on quality, under budget with no crunch in 9 months.

Keeping 60 FPS on a Google Pixel 1 using Unity is a real trick. Garbage collection is killer.
